Acorn Design is a collaborative effort of husband and wife, Kate and Charlie Marchesini. Kate heads up the interior design department and Charlie builds custom woodwork. Their portfolio represents a small sampling of both areas.

Kate and Charlie both graduated with B.F.A. degrees from the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. Kate went on to become vice president of creative for Wells, Rich, Green Advertising, with clients such as IBM, Phillip Morris, and Kimberly Clark. She also acquired an Associates degree in Interior Design from Parson's School of Design.

Charlie gathered experience in visual merchandising at Sak's Fifth Avenue. Later, he used his extensive knowledge of art and antiques to design for numerous period restoration companies.

They now co-own Acorn Design, where their clients can benefit from their artistic and varied backgrounds.
